What affects the price of a demolition
Every quote is prepared for the job in question. These are the points that weigh most.
- Size and materials
- Floor area, number of storeys and whether it is masonry, concrete or timber.
- Access and neighbours
- Room for the machine and how close other houses or the road are.
- Rubble
- How much there is, what kind of waste and where it has to go.
- Asbestos
- Asbestos cement and other asbestos materials follow their own rules.

Questions about demolition
Do I need a licence to demolish?
In most cases, yes: demolishing a building goes through the câmara municipal (town hall). The rules vary with the project and the municipality, so check with the câmara before booking a date.
What if the roof is asbestos cement?
Tell us in your request. Asbestos roofs and other asbestos materials must be removed by a licensed company before the demolition, and that changes the plan and the quote.
What happens to the rubble?
Construction and demolition waste has to go to a licensed operator. The quote states what is included: loading, transport and destination.
Do you do partial demolition?
Tell us what you want to keep and what has to go. We will tell you whether it is possible and how, after seeing photos or the site.
